Delaware Interfaith March
Delaware Interfaith March at University of Delaware
Held on Sunday February 12 at 2:00 PM

Nearly 200 people came together, at an interfaith rally at Newark, to say with one voice that 'Refugees are Welcome Here'.Local event organizers hailed from a number of faith groups including Congregation Beth Emeth, Temple Beth El, the Islamic Society of Delaware, and New Ark United Church of Christ. These congregations are part of a broad coalition to support refugees in Delaware, which is led by Jewish Family Services of Delaware – the First State’s refugee resettlement agency.

The rally began at the New Ark United Church of Christ and marched up Main Street to the University of Delaware Green. Through various speakers, our interfaith community conveyed a very strong message that we stand in solidarity to make our faith voices heard peacefully in support of the families who have come here and those who hope to come here.

(The Delaware Interfaith March & Rally to Support Refugees was part of the 'National Day of Jewish Action For Refugees' - in support with Islamic society of Delaware and Newark United church of Christ.)
