Hajj and Eid Al-Adha Announcement
Dhul Hujjah 1438 Starts Wednesday August 23

Based on the announcements made by the Saudi Officials, the sacred month of Dhul Hujjah will start on Wednesday August 23rd and Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday, September 1st, insha' Allah.

Please note the following dates:
1st Dhul Hijjah: Wednesday 23rd August
8th Dhul Hijjah/Start of Hajj: Wednesday 30th August.
Day of Arafah: Thursday 31st August
Eid al-Adha/Yaum an-Nahr: Friday 1st September

The first ten days of the month of Dhul Hujjah are great in virtue and it is from the Sunnah to increase in worship and good deeds; especially fasting on the Day of Arafah.
Abu Qutadah (ra) reports that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” (Muslim)

May Allah accept the Hajj of all pilgrims and the efforts of all those at home.
