Sheikh Abdel Hady's address to the community about IAD

Assalaamu Alaikum Dear Community Members,
Ever since I came to this community in 2006, having a school on the premises of the Masjid has been the goal of the entire community. Alhamdulillah, the community’s generous donations and dedication over the years have paid off to finish a $1.5M school building, which not only shares a common wall with the Masjid but also shares a common ground. This ground is the ground of unity which IAD has brought to this community. As Allah the Almighty says “and hold fast, all of you together, to the rope of Allah
and be not divided among yourselves and remember Allah’s favour on you; for you were enemies one to another, but he joined your hearts together...” (3:103). As such the strength of such a rope comes from each and every individual holding fast to it to maintain the unity of the community. Anyone trying to weaken this rope will ultimately shatter the entire rope or the unity of our community. Our children are watching us and looking to us to lead by example. We need to show them how we as a community can stand together in support of a common goal, instead of being split apart and weakening the rope that holds us together. I ask everyone of you to sincerely support that which brings us and our children together to make our school a success.

How can you support the Islamic Academy Of Delaware?
Send your child(ren) to the IAD school.
Fully or partially sponsor a child to attend IAD.
Volunteer to help during school hours as well as before and after.
Provide constructive feedback and comments which can help make IAD the best Islamic School in Delaware.

Finally, make duaa for IAD and support it with your heart and pure intentions. Do not stand as an obstacle in its path of success. Such action will eventually hinder the future of our young generation.

Sincerely,
Abdul-Hadi,
Imam-Islamic Society of Delaware

Quran Verse
Verse of the day:
O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the Sacred Month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the Sacred House, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt, and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancor: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment. 5:2

Walking with one shoe

The Messenger of Allaah (sall-Allaahu alayhee wa aalehee wasalam) said:
“None of you should walk wearing one shoe; you should either wear them both or take them both off.”
(Saheeh al-Bukharee & Saheeh Muslim)

The Messenger of Allaah (sall-Allaahu alayhee wa aalehee wasalam) said:
“Verily, the Shaytan walks with a single shoe.”
