The Islamic Society of Delaware would like to invite the General Assembly Members for a meeting on Saturday, February 4th at 1:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and seek approval for two important resolutions.
Resolution 1:
Seek Approval from General Assembly for purchasing a suitable property in Middletown Delaware for the purpose of expanding the full-time school, the Islamic Academy of Delaware.
Resolution 2:
Seek Approval to reduce the number of ISD board members from the current 21 to 15 to help streamline decision making.
Resolution 2 - reducing the number of board members is an amendment to ISD Constitution. In order to pass a resolution to amend constitution, we will need to meet following two conditions:
- 1/3 quorum to hold official GA meeting
- 2/3 vote cast in favor of the those participating will pass the resolution
Further details regarding the two resolutions will be provided during the General Assembly meeting that is planned to be held at the Islamic Society of Delaware on February 4th at 1:30 PM. The voting will be conducted electronically between 3pm and 6pm. All e-ballots will be sent by 3:00 pm to paid members’ emails on file.
We hope to see all of our General Assembly Members at the meeting taking an active role in making these two important decisions regarding ISD.
